PHILIPPINE ANTIQUE MOLAVE WOOD SUGAR GRINDER
ARRIVED JULY 20, 2005
Reserve your antique sugar grinders with a 20% deposit before they are all gone. These Sugar Grinders are about 100 years old and are made of solid Molave wood. Molave wood is a fine-textured, very durable, heavy, dense wood. It is one of the most widely used woods in the Philippines, it is used for high-grade construction where strength, durability, and aesthetics are required; shipbuilding, visible posts, paving blocks, sculpture, carvings, novelties, furniture, flooring, window sills, frames of windows and doors and balusters. It is often used figuratively to describe a man of sterling qualities. A part of Philippine past, these sugar grinders are getting more and more difficult to find and prices are increasing accordingly.
